Anker’s Latest Power Station Can Run RVs and Charge EVs

The new Anker SOLIX C1000 and F3800 are better than ever.

Earlier this year, Anker introduced its new SOLIX line of portable power stations built to power homes, apartments, and outdoor adventures, then promised more options were coming soon. Today, Anker announced two massive new SOLIX units with enough watts and ports to power anything from gadgets and homes to modern RVs and electric cars.

At IFA 2023 in Berlin, Anker just revealed the new Anker SOLIX C1000 (C series stands for camping) and its ultimate power-on-wheels SOLIX F3800 that's flexible enough to power nearly everything you own. While the new C-series is similar to previous power stations, the latter model is all-new and has several tricks up its sleeve.

If you thought the Anker SOLIX F2000 (previously known as the PowerHouse 767) at 2400W was big, you'll love the new SOLIX F3800. It packs a mind-boggling 6000W of power into a single enclosure, has four wheels for easy transportation, and all the ports you'll ever need. The wattage rating is impressive, but potential customers will be more interested in the dual voltage 120V/240V output plugs, meaning you can run washing machines, dryers, and more. And yes, that 240V plug means owners can charge an electric vehicle without needing additional grounding accessories to take full advantage of all that power. Remember that the 3.8kWh capacity won't get you a ton of range, but it's an excellent option in an emergency.

Additionally, Anker finally listened to its fans, and the new F3800 has a bigger 50A (NEMA 14) port for modern RVs instead of the smaller 30A output of previous models. Other specs include six 120V AC outlets for regular plugs, three 100W USB-C, two 12W full-size USB-A ports, a 120V cigarette lighter port, and 2900W AC input to quickly recharge the unit. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, owners can use the Anker app to manage controls, check input/output power, and manage the device remotely.

Finally, the new Anker SOLIX F3800 supports solar charging, and you can add up to six expansion battery packs, delivering 26,880W of power that'll run entire homes for days on end. This thing should give EcoFlow and others some serious competition. Unfortunately, we don't have any pricing details, and it won't be available until the first quarter of 2024.

Sure, the massive new model above is the show's star, but Anker's new C1000 is no slouch. Thanks to a perfect balance of output power, portability, and pricing, it looks like a viable replacement to the previous Anker 757 we reviewed. The C-series is designed for camping and outdoors enthusiasts, and this meets the bill.

With the new Anker SOLIX C1000, you get a capable 1056Wh of power in a compact and relatively lightweight package with two handles on each end. The company tells us it's the smallest 1kWh power station on the market and 15% smaller than most of the competition. It's packing six AC outlets, a 100W USB-C port (and a 30W USB-C), two 20W USB-A ports, a cigarette lighter port, and more. Like other models in the SOLIX line, it'll have an optional B1000 expansion battery that doubles capacity to 2112Wh, which can power up to 99% of appliances in most households. It even has Anker's "SurgePad" technology that can surge to 2400W to start microwaves and more.

Like everything from Anker, it doubles as a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) with a switchover of less than 20ms, making it perfect for powering critical equipment like CPAP machines. As expected, the latest C1000 uses lightweight LiFePO4 batteries lasting up to 3,000 charging cycles. This makes the portable power station easier to manage, longer lasting, and charges faster with Anker's HyperFlash technology. You can fully recharge the C1000 from a wall outlet in under 58 minutes.

The new Anker SOLIX C1000 portable power station is available for pre-order starting August 31st (at 25% off) and will hit shelves in early October for $999. However, those interested in the expansion battery must wait until November to double its power. Either way, these are two more excellent options joining Anker's ever-expanding lineup of power solutions.
